How can I submit a film to the Coven Film Festival?
Submissions for the 2021 festival are open January 4th through Film Freeway.
Does COVEN offer Submission Fee Waivers?
No. Submission fees help cover a variety of event costs such as venues, food, entertainment, promotional material, etc. However, COVEN does offer a variety of promotional codes throughout the festival season. Follow COVEN on Instagram and Twitter @Covenfilmfest or on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/covenfilmfest) for special deals and promotions.
When do I need to send my film to COVEN?
Only after you receive the Official Selection notification from FilmFreeway. Instructions will be included in that email when the time comes.
If Officially Selected to the Festival, how will my film be shown?
Films selected for inclusion in the Festival will be assigned a screening block during the Festival.
Filmmakers will be provided with a complete schedule of events around the time Official Selections are announced.
What is the COVEN Film Festival?
Our festival is devoted to films by emerging women and non-binary filmmakers from the San Francisco Bay Area and around the world.
When and where does the COVEN Film Festival take place?
While theaters are closed, we will be running quarterly online screenings & online Q&Q’s until the health emergency is over. More information can be found on our HOME page.

What should I do to ensure that I get a seat at the Festival screenings?
Tickets will go on sale soon for 2021. Find a comfortable spot in your home and watch on your TV or computer.

What are my transportation options for getting to and from the event?
We will be running quarterly online screenings only in 2021.
Can I bring food or drinks into the screenings?
You can eat whatever you want from home.
How can I market my company and/or film at COVEN?
COVEN will have several social media posts to place promotional material for the Festival. We encourage any and all forms of creative marketing. Feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions or ideas.
Can I get a last minute ticket to the Festival?
Last-minute tickets (also known as RUSH tickets) may become available for purchase just before showtime, when advance tickets have sold out.
What's the refund policy?
COVEN has a no-refund policy. Feel free to share an unused ticket/pass with a friend if you can’t make it.
